Magnificent early American grandfather clock, 90" tall,
18 1/2" wide and 14 1/2" deep. Very fancy dial
signed A. Stowell & Co. Boston. A paper on the inside
back reads "Made 1800 Boston, B. Willard - Bought from
A. E. Johnson family 1902 by P. P. Griswold, Topeka, Kansas
until 1919. Moved to Cal. with Ada Griswold and daughter
Mary Dallas Larimer. Plays tune on 8 bells and strike on
large coil gong. Very impressive damaskeened movement of
the highest quality. $22,000. |
